Eleanor Roche

Bio:

Eleanor Roche is originally from Wexford and now lives in Co. Dublin. As her children were growing up she returned to study embroidery first as a night student in NCAD and then City in Guilds in Belfast. Her work includes multiple mediums: embroidery, felt making weaving and print, and uses a variety of materials: thread, fibres, wool, perspex and metal. In 2009 along with Hilary Bell she founded Dublin Creative Textiles. They hold weekly classes in Howth Co. Dublin and have held workshops throughout the island of Ireland. Eleanor has exhibited widely throughout Ireland and the UK. Awards: 2nd place Felt making RDS craft awards 1st place machine embroidery Workshop Magazine UK Night student award NCAD
