Bio:

Maeve’s inspiration comes from the natural world, and from her travels. A lot of her work is wall based and is very contemporary. She loves experimenting with different ways of using mediums and also creating 3 dimensional pieces. She prefers natural fabrics which are often recycled and then she dyes , paints, prints and stitches on them. She enjoys the feeling of letting the work create its own destiny. Which in turn dictates her direction and chosen medium. Textiles give her the flexibility to incorporate lots of other mediums in her work. She is also an accomplished watercolour artist and facilitating workshops and inspiring others to create is an integral part of her practice. Maeve has a Degree in Textile Design and a HDIP and Masters in Visual Arts education.
