Bio:

Carmel Creaner is a maker and sharer of techniques in the areas of textiles and art. She finds great joy to see people get lost in drawing or stitch, enjoy the moment and forget about everyday life, just for the time they are with her. She works with adults and those who need support, as well as children. This work informs her own practice, allowing her time to explore and push boundaries with new work. Telling a story is really important, and finding time to explore that and play with materials is challenging but great fun. Depending on the subject matter, she has several techniques to dip into such as analogue photography, drawing, print, origami and stitch. Collaborating with other artists such as Anne Kiely, with whom she has completed several projects, brings a deeper dimension to work magnifying ideas bringing wonderful experiences to the communities with whom they work.
